Closing the 2020-2021 School Year

We end this school year with a mixture of emotions. Many are so thankful that this year is finally over. Many may be wishing for just a little more time with Culbreth friends and teachers. But no matter what, we know that the Culbreth Community has made a tremendous impact on all of us and has provided us with special friendships and memories to look back upon. While we missed out on some of our fun events like STEAM Day, school wide assemblies, sporting events, and so much more, our teachers worked hard to maintain important relationships with each other and with their students. We know that our kids have been given the tools of perseverance and they will carry a sense of resilience and pride for all that they endured and accomplished this past year.

As we look back on the '20-21 school year, I am indebted to all of the many parents who stepped up and volunteered in so many ways. A tremendous thanks to the PTSA Board who supported our students, faculty, and staff in every way possible. I will miss “zooming" with Tamara Nimkoff (Treasurer), Catherine Jones (VP), Gridt Find (Secretary), Carey Baddour (Membership), Theresa Spencer (Communications), Patti Martzloff and Courtney Hertel (Hospitality), Anna Wiliams (Spiritwear), Jill Simon and Tracy Wesley (Food Securities), and Kelly Rike (PTA Council Rep). There are too many ad hoc volunteers to list, but your service and donations from weeding flower beds to donating school supplies were immensely appreciated!

And so we leave you in good hands and are excited to announce the incoming board and event chairs for the 2021-2022 school year!

Please welcome and support these selfless volunteers as they get ready to lead and hopefully resume the many awesome events that make Culbreth so amazing. Watch for membership information at the beginning of the school year so the Board can hit the ground running on some amazing ideas!
